Following my earlier idea of using the Worbla red for the boot Armour, i gave the foam and worbla a weather so i could blend the two reds into the same tone, so you couldn't tell the materials apart. I believe i achieved the effect i was after.

Continuing the paint work, I splotched on deep brown random blobs over the armour in acrylic paint. This would give a mixed tone effect, the look of mud and rust, and also break up the plain look of the Armour. I then used oil paints to totally cover the armour, which i then wiped off with a rag at varying levels to darken the edges, and brighten the highlights of the Raven crests, along with giving the armour a realistic battleworn greasy effect.

Doing a full test fit of the armour before i took it to OcComicCon Sydney for another round of testing. The armour held up great and allowed me to see how the paint work held up under varying lights.

After the weekend was the final stretch of details to add. The buckles were added, with hidden velcro tabs and magnets to allow for easy access but still keep the look of working belts

I stitched the chainmaille for the boots into some leather which was then strapped onto the boots. These will then have Velcro tabs for all of the armour to attach on top.

To finish this thread, i thought i will add my final photos as well.
Last things added were the Velcro tabs to assemble the shoes and the chainmaille to the sleeves.
